Radiator Image Ox Heating Radiator Repair Hull
Radiator sludge is a mix of dirt and rust. This builds up over time and gathers at the bottom of your radiators. The sludge stops hot water flowing through your system properly. This creates cold areas on your radiator. Other areas of the radiator are unaffected by the sludge and warm up as normal.
Sludge - also, referred to as Magnetite, is a nightmare for central heating systems and is the number one cause of boiler breakdowns. If left untreated, Sludge wreaks havoc, multiplying and spreading throughout your central heating system causing costly destruction.
Sludge is the build-up of magnetite which forms as a result of corrosion in your heating system. Even a minimal build-up of sludge can cause a serious drop in boiler efficiency. If sludge is left in your system, it can lead to multiple problems.
If your radiators are suffering from sludge or have 'patchy' heating, just give us a call and we'd be happy to take a look!
